This just appeared from the back of the tank growing on a rock. It is almost like a green hair ball. It is fuzzy soft to the touch. What is it and how do I get rid of it?

Green hair algae, pull it off with your fingers or a pair of tweezers.

Is it long and stringy or is it little ferns? If it is long and stringy then it is hair algea, if it is fern appearing it is bryopsis. If you can get the rock out of the tank i would remove it and clean it off and let it dry out for a bit.....imo plucking it off in the tank only leads to spores being released and spreading. You can get a lawnmower blenny and sometimes they eat it...best thing in my mind is a tang, like yellow,

if it is bryopsis then there is a little more problem. Definately remove the rock and let it dry off adn die that way. Nobody eats bryopsis and it spreads rather quickly.

    Good luck
