Will a Green Mandarin Goby eat flat worms and if so when all the flat worms are gone what do i feed him or will he just eats stuff off the live rocks?

I think a coris wrasse would do more damage, they are voracious eaters. How old is your tank? They eat copepods so your tank has to have been established a while in order to have their population swell in enough numbers for it to be a constant food source, about 5-8 months ish, DEPENDING ON THE TANK. Also, feeding a mandarin is extremely expensive and impractical, as they eat a HUGE amount of pods everyday. Try seeding your tank with live pods first.

I wouldn't get a mandarin for eating flatworms. A wrasse of some kind, such as a 6-line, would be a better bet and easier to feed later. What size is the tank & what's in it?

My tank is 8 months old. 29 gallon nano cube. 1 PJ Cardinal, 1 firefish, zoas, GSP, candy cains, snails, hermits and a peppermint shrimp. Oh yeah and a ton of flat worms. One LFS said a 6 line wrasse but they did not have any. So I stopped by the other LFS on the way home and they sold me a Green Mandarin Goby. Also got some buffer to put in my top off water and I also added more flow.

The fish store shouldnt have sold you the mandarin. Your tank is to small. You will have to suppliant with pods. And no, I dont think you can put a wrasse in. I would try to give the mandarin back and exchange it for the wrasse.

Call them first. Ask if you can get a six line instead

Or see if they will take it back and get some credit off the Wrasse. Stores in my area won't do an even trade back and here the 6 lines are more than the Mandarins.
