I've had a green mushroom now for about 4 months, it's showing signs of small growth as far as the overall diameter of the mushroom(around 2" fully expanded) But I was hoping it would branch or bud off and start showing more baby mushrooms elsewhere on the rock. I have it on the same rock my Trumpet Coral frag is attached to, I hope they do not bother each other in the future. (Knowing the trumpet has a hard stoney base with it's heads raised about the skeleton, where the mushroom sit on the rock- i feel like these two together won't actually touch, i hope)

YOu can try moving it to a different spot. But to be honest, 4 months is a good time and they probably should have popped out atleast one or two new heads. But i would move it away from the trumpet, because when they get bigger they might get a problem with eachother.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Glue or move some LR rubble right next to the base. Once it gets any part on the new rubble just pull it apart. Feeding them helps too.

from my understanding trumpet sweeper tentacles can sting other corals so it could be that also maybe try a different spot in the tank with different lighting maybe it'll entice him to split more, also ive heard target feeding mushrooms with brine shrimp or marine snow etc will also improve rate of growth as well

Sometimes they just take a while to get started. About 8 months ago I bought red mushrooms and a purple mushroom. Within a month I had a bunch of new red mushrooms, but just saw the first new purple mushroom like a week ago. Didn't move them at all, they can move by themselves if they don't like their location. Some of the red ones actually switched rocks.
