I just got a green plate coral. He eats a lot. I'm wondering if I can feed him too much. Any tips on keeping him healthy? Feed him often? He was under metal halides at the LFS. I'll photo acclimate him starting with 4.5 hours, adding a half hour every 2 days till I get to 10 hours a day. Is that good?

Shoot with turkey baster some food once a week is good. Turn off pumps for a minute when feeding him so it doesnt float away. Also put some food on opposite side of tank at the same time so your fish won't steal his food. No need to light acclimate as he was under MH in LFS.
