Using veggie clips to supplement a food source for my herbivores, specifically my foxface and flame angel. just wondering which of the three i should buy? what is the difference between these dried algaes (besides one is green, one is red, and one is brown)? do your herbivores like a particular one?

thats a good question, this may sound stupid but......

i would say whichever one they eat. (i am honestly not trying to be sarcastic)

i would start with green, seems to be a safe bet. if they dont seem to take to it after a few shots try another brand/color

Personally, I use all three from Omega One as well as 2 other types of dried from ReefCleaners and a vegie flake from RC as well.

You definitely tell which ones the fish like the best. A good variety never hurt anything though.

different species of algae have widely varying nutrient profiles. Some have protein, other lack it but have lots of iron etc.. Check hippie organic places, those people generally know everything about the products they carry. When in doubt though, variety is always the best way to go, try some of each if you aren't familiar with the species. (Or post a pic I can id it for you)
