well I got this green slimer acro a week or so ago. well my big emerald decided to eat/break off all the white growth tips. so he's in jail for now. I notice all the polyps are still coming out. but on one main branch the green skin as came off about 1/4" inch and is all white. not really any polyps coming out there either.. should I cut it off, or just leave it alone to recover, unless it gets worst.?? the very little polyps are showing on the underside of frag.

    also another question.
The frag was growing sideways on frag plug in LFS display tank.. so only 1 upside of coral is green and the bottom side is all white :(. should I position the coral more vertically so both side get light? will this help wth growth? or is it ok to have a half looking dead white bottom side not getting light?

    thanks..

FYI: I know why they call these things slimers, man u brush your hand up on the coral, it starts sliming ridicously all over..

    :)

If the dead part is fairy small, I just normally leave it. It will eventually cover it up with new growth.

    Thats what i would do.

Give it the light it needs, with enough calcium and alk, and it will grow just fine:)
