Green Spongy Thing w/ Tube coming out

    Any idea what this is? They are growing on my FrogSpawn Coral and they popped up a few weeks ago...

    I would say its a sponge

    So I went to my LRS and they think its a Sea Squirt, would any of you agree?

    I wouldn't. It's a yellow sponge of some type. They often have a transparent siphon on major lobes, near the center of the mass. I have a few in my tank, they're generally a good sign, and don't do any harm. They will usually only grow when water quality is very high and you have enough natural planktonic life growing in your tank.

    I can get pics later... but it is almost certainly a sponge and not a squirt or tunicate.

    Agreed it's a type of sponge...fairly common hitchhiker...we have them growing in many of our sumps.
