I purchased some green star coral which was very very healthy. It had plenty of new growth on it.

Well, the piece of rock I purchased it on look horrible (non live rock). it looked like bleach white rock. Anyways, I proceeded to remove it from that rock with a razor blade. I successfully removed it (with relative ease).

My question is, will it be ok or did I injure it buy removing it?

How quickly will it start to attach itself to the new live rock I have it resting on?

Will it open up ifit isn't attachd to rock?

Also, the piece of rock I removed it to still has some growth on it (almost looks like a light blue slime). Will it continue to grow ontothat rock or did i kill it when I removed the main piece.

I know that was alot of questions, but I would appreciate any help.
