green star polyp and sympodium care

    should i feed it regularly? or is it solely photosynthetic?and what about the water flow? both are getting a low to moderate flow.....is that kool?

    Yessirr, you're good to go. I'd feed your tank some phytoplankton or something of the sort once a week or so. The flows fine too. Star polyps will grow anyyyywhere. Quickly too.

    Sounds good, IME star polyps seem to like high flow, so low to medium flow might help keep them from taking over your tank. Using a coral food once a week is a good idea.

    I agree with 2in10, they like high flow so i would keep them in low to medium just to slow them down. my gsp are definitely taking over. my sympodium is in a medium flow area and it has grown quickly.

    I just recently rid my tank of gsp because it was trying to take over everything.

    GSP is is one of the few coral that are as close to being photosynthetic. I dont think it cares to be fed or not as long as it has good light it is the cudzu in reefing.
