Today I went and bought a xenia coral , purple mushroom w/ blue spots and the green star coral. Both look amazing at the fish store and now i own them. I bought it home, did my routine acclimation to them, same as my other corals and add them to the tank. The mushroom as of now is nice colored and open.. and my new xenia is waving around and wide open. color is beautiful, its a pinkish orange color. but my green star polyp is just flat out closed. Nothing in sight, not even a single green tentacle sticking out? I thought these guys are more hardier then my other corals which are the xenia, mushroom and frogspawn.. Do they need a different water or lighting that I miss some where? please help.

They are just getting used to the new parameters. All is well. I just moved my GSP from the 90g to the 10g today. Same basic lighting (T5s). Different water. They haven't opened yet. I wouldn't worry.

Early after I got it, my GSP would stay closed for up to a week for no apparent reason. It does that less and less now and hardly ever completely closes up. Just give it a little time. Before long, you'll probably have a GSP explosion!
