So Today while looking at my Green Star Polyps, Some around the bottom are turning white, Pretty sure a couple are dying. Not to sure. In the area where they are a little faded, theres a purple mushroom growing to the back of it, could that have anything to do with it? and i see like 6 little whiteish/clearish bugs sitting where some of the gsp are closed. No Idea what they are. I tried getting a picture But they were way too small. any ideas?

The red circle is where the little bugs are, the yellow circles are where some of the polyps are faded.

GSP is pretty aggressive. It will overtake most corals in it's way. It is possible that the GSP and the mushroom are fighting for space.

The mat has a white edge as it grows.
Hard to tell without a better pic.

Sounds like the white "pods" are new polyps starting to form, jonjonwells is correct, the mat will have a white edge as the coral starts to take over your tank :). Nothing to worry about really, GSP is one of the fastest growing weeds I have ever encountered in the hobby.
