    sup guys,i got a question, not sure if one of the torch mouth caught a piece of red algie or maybe its coming from the torch mouth? anyone know if they spit or throw up stuff?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I suspect it is just expelling waste. Usually it is a shade of brown but I can see where it could be reddish in color as well.

    I agree - I have seen my Euph. do the same before - it almost looks like a chunk of cyanobacteria but it comes directly out of their mouth. Nothing to worry about IME.

    A pic would help to rule out Brown jelly. I know you are saying Red but it is difficult to tell the true color with the various combination of lighting used over our tanks.

    Expelling waste, it looks exactly like cyano or red algae, just leave it and let it get sucked into the filter.

    Yea it looks just like cyano, sorry but damn cam won't focus good enough to see it, but it looks like it's gone..

    nothing to worry about.

    Are you feeding them on a regular schedule? If so how often and how much? If not, I would consider offering some meaty treats every other week or so. LPS corals LOVE to be fed it seems. You will see increased coloration and polyp extension after target feeding IME.

    I start target feeding brineshrim when I feed my fish every day, but only few pieces cuz my cleaner shrim like to steal the food from the torch mouth..
