Was looking at my tank earlier and noticed that on one piece of my LR there is a light forest green tube shape sticking straight up from it. I was going to try and take a picture but it's just too small to see on camera. It has to be about 2-3mm in length. I am just wondering if it is something I need to worry about or not. I only have LR, LS and a Xenia in my tank with a protein skimmer and a regular tank filter [just starting the hobby really].

Are you talking about like a coralline algae? If so, it definitely isn't that because I have that on other rocks and doesn't look remotely close to it.

And thank you, hopefully I can make some contributions to the forums in coming time.

So would this be a good algae or a bad one? I've did some research just now and some sites say its good to have around and others say it's a nuisance algae.
