greenish slime on top of tank????

    water perams. good ph 8.3 nitrites and amm. 0 nitrates 5-10 hardness 250 kh 8.0 salinity 1.023 i use di ro water from LFS lights 9 months old temp 78 80 and changed carbon 3 weeks ago i know water changes are not a cure all but i was do for my weekly i will reinstall modulated surface skimmer didn't know what good it did until now since i thought the power head on top left would agitate the water. thank you to all who helped this site is great :):)

    Depending on kit used K.H is half of what it should be and don't over look calcium asa system grows what was enough last month or yr won't be enough now. Maybe your water changes where keeping up with the animals demands in the past buy you may need to add buffer and calcium . but the kh should be closer to 400 to 450. Algae loves low carbonates levels .

    Trust me... You'll notice instantly a improvement... The surface skimmer will make a big difference... and listen to tangster regarding levels... I'm clueless when it comes to that...

    thanks once again i use a kh buffer from reef pure and will look into a calcium test happy fish keeping
