    Hi all, i am new to this forum, avid poster on others, hope to help and learn here too...

    my new tank isnt up and running yet, but it is well on its way...just need to paint the stand...

    here is a pic of my new pico setup, i hope to soon setup a 75g...wifey will dictate that though...

    one thing i have learned in my last five years of reef keeping is "patience and understanding will only get you so far in this hobby, but if your wife has the same patience and understanding it will get you the ocean... I have a plethora of envy for those who have a partner who understands and accepts this addiction, and for those of you in my shoes, i have nothing but deepest sympathies"

    heres the back of the tank and stand...i have custom built a 12x12x12 cube to use a sump ( not pictured) this tank will have a bunch of macros growing in it, possibly cheato in the sump, i have never been diligent with H2O changes though...aggressive skimming low nutrients, plus i dont think this tank will have any fish...it is only 5 g...and yeah Steve that is dedication...LOL, (though not at you or the situation, just the idea, cant say it hasnt crossed my mind...LOL)

    i ant wait to get this going either, been about 4-5 months on and off working on this thing, now it is pretty near th end..

    as for other tanks i used to have a 20H mixed reef 90% SPS, but my sump exploded while the family was away for the weekend (my tank was pretty self sufficient so i didnt think twice about it) i lost 15 gallons of water, burned up my return pump, burned up my skimmer pump, burned up my reactor pump, some how broke my heater, not to mention the 15g of water on the brand new carpet...i didnt lose much in the way of coral though, at least it happened in the summer and the tank stayed fairly warm it was running about 74* when i got home...this is basically what it looked like before i took it down..:(
