    Hi!

I'm new to saltwater and have a 37 gallon tank with live sand, live rock and two fish. I have a false percula clownfish, named Cosmo, and a Springer's Damsel, named Flash. I also have two scarlet hermit crabs that have caused me more anxiety than the fish! Those two crabs are always getting themselves into some sort of trouble. I plan on adding a couple more hermit crabs and some other scavengers, but I need some advice on those.

I have a local marine fish store where the owner is really into the hobby and very knowledgable. He's been helping a lot. He told me if the water tested fine I could add one or two fish after the tank had been running for one week, so that's what I did. I've had both fish in the tank for 9 days and they are very happy and healthy. They eat well and are very active. They have also become good friends and hang out most of the time!

My water levels are still good. pH: 8.0, ammonia: 0, nitrite: 0 and nitrate: 0. I think I'll wait about a month until I add anymore fish, but that's something I need advice on. When to add them, what type, etc. Well...that's about it. Nice to meet all of you!! :)

For cleaning crew, go to ReefCleaners.org | Clean Up Crews and Macro Algae - Home where you can even fill out a form, and John over there will e-mail you back with a list that is custom suited to your tank.
For fish wise, we would need more info. Is this going to be a reef or fish only?
But, either way, I say you get your clown a mate ;)

Haha my clown is best friends with the damsel, it's cute. I think they are in love! I would love to have another clown, but wouldn't my current clown fight the new one? BTW, my tank will be fish only. I need a few more years of experience before I attempt to build a reef!

Just get one that is a lot smaller than the current one. They will nip at each other at first, but once dominance is established, they will pair right up.

Thanks for the info! My clown fish is so tiny, so I might have to wait awhile for him to grow. Thanks everyone for the nice welcome!
