Hi everybody, I've decided to embark on salt water. My wife and I have been doing fresh water for years and I am at the point where I feel comfortable enough to begin saltwater.

I'm going to start off slow though with a 26 gallon bow front. I'm still designing my sump and fuge and I am looking forward to being here and soaking up all your experience.

    :)

Welcome to 3reef! IMO, salt is the same as freshwater, except, there is additional filtration options, a wider variety of stuff to put in, it costs more, and there is salt in the water.8)

For those of you joining us that are new to the hobby - the best piece of advice you'll get around here as a saltwater newbie is 3Reef's slogan
    "Go slow, let it grow."
And for those experianced hobbyists joining us - it's still good advice :p
good luck and post pics soon :)
