I will as soon as the storm clears lol. Between the clowns and him it's a constant sandstorm.

The 30 gallon is now a Maroon clown pair in a bubble tip anemone and peacock mantis shrimp (I really hope this goes well!)

The big maroon is my old clown who is to aggressive for the big tank and a small maroon I just added when I put in the new rock. I added the small clown with a bubble anemone shortly after adding 2+inches of sand and new rocks. I let him get settled and about 4 days later put the big maroon back in. With the new scape he wasn't nearly as aggressive and they paired up this morning!!

Dammnn that clam is awesome grim. The tanks really starting to take shape, with all the corals and what not in there. It looks great. I can't wait to see it a few months down the road. Hows the mantis doin?

I'm really looking forward to the long term. I'm sure some of my placement is going to be off in terms of how it grows. I have never worked with SPS.

The real cool thing is how automated everything is. After I set up the auto water change (2gallons a day), the 2 algae scrubbers and the calcium reactor it's going to take little of nothing in terms of maintenance!

The mantis seems ok. He's getting settled into his burrow. I really want to secure the rock structure with some epoxy but I'm scared to go digging in there yet. I haven't seen him take any food yet. But it's only been one day. I only put a couple real small hermits in there.

Today he's opened up, and is spewing something out that the fish are eating.. Does that mean it's a she? lol

Cleaned up my wiring (it's still not clean.... but at least now it's all drip/spill proofed and out of the way! I got my BRS Dosing pumps hooked up and started dosing (I should have been doing this manually.. but I haven't really been...)

I have 3 or 4 major projects all going on. And I'm going to do the ones that benefit the tanks inhabitants first, then the fun ones.
1.) Get my Santa Monica 100 algae scrubbers hooked up on the top of the tank running off the return pump.
2.) Set up an auto water change that will change 2 gallons a day via the skimmer (if you can't beat them, join them)
3.) Set up the Calcium reactor I bought from the same guy who had the clam (reef octopus huge, double chamber with crappy looking regulator and 10lb co2) Need help doing this.
4.) Rain system and rig it with a light switch to the apex for on demand storms.... oooh yeah. this is still happening! lol.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Yeah not unusual for a clam acclimating to expel waste, the siphon is a little gaping but not unusual for a large acclimating clam. It's beauty, Squamosa are my second favorite clams right behind Crocea.

Excellent idea on re-introduction of the Maroon after changing the scape some, wish I had remembered that on a post I saw earlier.

Is the mantis in the 30 gallon tank?
