Plus the dr Tim's are new there could be a un know side affect I recommend the Eco back pellets to every one going that rout! So dose this mean you are no longer going to run your turf scrubbers? (I might of missed it)

No, absolutely not. I love my algae scrubber. It's doing a wonderful job!! But for my size tank I should have 2-3 of them. Rather than buying more I'm going to just add a small amount of pellets instead. My tank is heavily stocked for a ULNS system. Before adding the scrubber I was gaining fast on N and P and had gotten up to 20 nitrate and nearly .2 phosphate. Now I'm down to 3-4 nitrate and .06 PPM phos.... It's definitely done it's job.

I could try dosing a small amount of iron to promote growth on the screen. Or I may just need to be more patient with the scrubber while the screen fully develops. I have just heard such great things about pellets and haven't reached my goals in terms of N and P reduction so I want to try them as well.

I don't know if you can do both. I think it is one or the other as they both compeating for the same thing

Worse case scenario is the pellets out compete the algae and I get crappy growth on the screen. No harm done to the system. I guess I could potentially get the water to clean... but that just means I will get to feed more/ add more fish!

Always amazing looking tank. With your scape like that do you think that the MP60's are still to much?

Thank you!!! I really don't now. Though I have been considering adding a couple Korialia's with the new Hydor wavemaker to my back glass to get some directed flow. But with my current layout I'm not pushing my sand bed all over now and there is lots of chaotic flow!!

BEAUTIFUL tank! Wow this is the way we all dream our little frag filled tanks will look in like five years. Wow...wow... Oh and about the bio pellets I am thinking they will help with the n and p problem without causing too much of a nutrient loss as to stunt the growth of the scrubber. and like you said if you need more fish poop that's a good thing :)
