For your sump, couldn't you just drain it for a few days and put the baffles in? I know Petco is having their $1 a gallon sell right now, so you could pick up a 40 breeder for $40.

Ohh no. not nearly that desperate. My sump works fine, it's just ugly and doesn't use space effectively. I get no bubbles in my return though!

Do all petco do that sale at the same time?

I may be able to do that... How long is the silicon supposed dry?

Our were a few days after Christmas. Unless they're having another one already.

Yeap, that is when they end around here as well. I am pretty sure it is a corporate sell, so all Petco's should have to honor it. I have had Petco's tell me that the sell was ending before it was supposed to, and they ended up just being wrong. Either way, since last July I have seen 3 or 4 of these sells at Petco.

My wife says about 24 hours. I would just make sure it is dry to the touch and then give another couple of hours to be sure it is dry.

Thanks guys! I found a petco that's close enough that has 40b's and has the sale going! That saved me about 40-$50!!! No update on if I plan to actually drain my sump and attempt to baffle it where it sits. I'll update as soon as I start on it, if I start on in it. lol.

Woohoo!! I found a great deal on a 2nd SM100 algae scrubber!! Just need to make sure my 2nd return pumps at least 700gph down the return and I'll hook this to my new frag/anemone display! No need to worry with the chaeto (not that I really needed to worry before I guess, but still)

Hoping to get some new pics soon! My mom is trying to teach me to use her old D70 DSLR. That way I can update decent pics more often. Either way, next time she's available I'm going to get her by my place to photograph the reef again! It's looking great!

Drove over to New orleans and got a 40 breeder for $40 today! Thanks for the heads up on the petco sale! I ordered a 700gph over flow from glass-holes.com and will be ready to go as soon as it comes in! The stand should be in any day now. Looking forward to the extra volume and separate display. I'm going to use it primarily as a clown fish / anemone tank with a couple frag racks. I will probably add a few fleshy lps I can't have in the high flow of my main tank.
