Got my hands on a nikon d70 dslr with an 18-70 lense and a 60mm lense. Now to figure out how to use it! Any tips?

Do not use the flash for a starter. Make yourself familiar with "A" (aperture priority) setting.

I use the D90, and I love it.

Nice, TY!! I am having some trouble with the memory card I think. All the pictures I have taken are showing "corrupted" I can't view them on the computer or on the camera... I'll figure it out soon enough though!

So, 3 nights ago I started dosing Kalk saturated pure vinegar at a rate of 11 mils a day spread over 1 minute an hour for 10 hours. I am doing this for a few reasons. First of all to strip the little bits of p04/no3 that are left in my system out. (I'm undetecable, but I'm sure there is still some in there somewhere) And to add kalk so I can slow down my 2part consumption a little.

Vinegar allows a full reaction to the Kalk so I'm getting the max potential out of it. This also gives me a carbon source for the bacteria. 2 birds, one stone and healthier corals!! So far everything looks great! I may be crazy but my water was crystal clear yesterday and corals somehow seemed even more colorful!! I'm going to be extremely conservative with this method.

I plan to add another hour and that will add 1 more minute of dosing (1.1mils) each day after 2 weeks and again 2 weeks after that... But that plan is completely dependent on what I'm seeing with the corals.

^^sounds like a good plan, Grim! Looking forward to the results.

Try formatting the SD card using the D70's menu. Might help :)

Got most of the lighting re-done!! I'm back to running 5 AI modules (I had one in my closet) and am running them end to end. Much better in terms of shadowing. I still don't have the 2 ati bulbs.. and the vho's are mounted so high that they don't seem to have much visual effect in the tank... I may swap them for t5s of a different color instead...

They through to much visual noise into the room. I am going to have to fashion something to close the gap between my tank or try t5s.. I think that's going to make it worse though... Any ideas?
