Good to hear about adding to your system Grim. I've said it before, I'll say it again--its amazing. I'll be lucky if mine turns out anywhere near that. (Not to get off topic, but yes I am getting closer, and I am negotiation on a tank and equipment as I type this) but I digress.

What I am really wondering is what the over/under is on how long it takes you to decide you want to add a second frag tank, or upgrade it! Not that I am betting man or anything...

Rofl... the over/under goes like this...

Grim's LPS are having trouble with flow...
Grim wants more lps, but not at the cost of his sps
Grim sees deal on frag tank.
Grim thinks about it for a full 30 seconds.
Grim gets new tank and plans to figure out the rest later.
    Grim does dance.

ROFL!!! I love it! You really are a full-blown addict man, but in a good way. That is too awesome, and yeah if I had room/money for a seperate system for SPS, LPS, and softies/nems I would totally go that route.

    Enjoy yout little dance!

Some of my most dramatic growth and coloration pics! I was looking at my pics and noticed these.

8/15/11 - Notice all 3 the Monti Confusa, and the Green acro above it and the brown acro in the top left of photo
    [IMG]

5/8/12 - Leds don't color acros huh? See that purple monti colonyu?

8/30/11 That colony started as this brown monti in this pic!!!

8/2/11 - This piece was actually a hitchhiker and was barely alive in my old 30g

8/30/11 - See that pink epoxy with that tiny piece of coral below the digitata I sold, and the green slimer on the right?

5/8/12 I really wish I had pics that properly represented these corals.

5/8/12 And this pic does NO justice to how pink/red it's become.

Awesome pics Grim! LEDs have done well for me as well. Growth and color have always been comparable to the proven methods.

Those are some nice comparisons for sure. :)

Suppose it's a good time to mention I'm adding violets, cyans, and a hint of regular blues to my build soon. Just after I get this Apex fully up and running.

    Anyhow, nice work!

Thank you! Just wish I had better pictures, I'm out of town on business, bored, and just picking through pics I had taken over the last year.

I believe you will be very happy with the addition. I'm seeing coloration developing on some wild colonies that browned out upon introduction to my tank and stayed that way till I added my supplements.

Did you use AI Sol the whole time from the very beginning? (Edit: the answer is yes!)
When did you go full spectrum? Any update on that?

Looking great as always Grim! Keep it up!!

This is pretty much all AI sol blue. I'm only a month in on the full spec supplements. They were added 4/28/11

I haven't taken any comparison pics before adding the new lights, but am definitely noticing positive results. Well even more positive. One of my next investments is going to be a DSLR and macro lense. By the end of summer I'll have one. My mom sold the one she was going to lend me.

Stunning. You are making me want to upgrade to a much larger tank. Too bad I have too many expensive hobbies.
