isnt that in your dream size range? might as well do it now if you can fit it, or buy it and store it for now if its what you really want.

It's close! The maintenance on that tank is going to be daunting.. the 36" tall sounds like it would look amazing.. but be such a PITA to clean, and manage. Let a coral come off a rock towards the middle of the tank...

It's a great deal though. If I can make it work... I'm going to.

Assuming I end up with the 300DD, this is my planned flow.

First thing I'm going to do is remove the stock corner overflows and install an internal coast to coast overflow with bean animal drain design.

That will leave me with 2 holes in each corner. I'm going to put a strainer on one hole and then bring a Y out the other so I can have two penductors, one will be angled towards the center of the front glass and one aimed down the long side of the back glass. And the same on the other end. Both strainers will be tied together and powered by a Reeflo Tiger Shark

For the return I think I'll just use my mag 24 running to two 3/4" sea swirls.

Just when I begin to think that there is no further you can take your tank Grim, you bust out something like this.

I'm loving the entire concept behind this build, and your willingness to go a completely different direction with things. I'm looking forward to seeing where this one goes my friend.

I hit a major life road turn over the last week. An opportunity to expand my career has come up and may lead me to moving to Las Vegas for 2-3 years to work with a very well respected Toyota dealer there. It would be great for my professional development, and would be a LOT of fun.. the downside is this build will be dead in the water (when I move back, I'll be ready for my dream tank). It looks like I'll be selling off my entire livestock, most of my equipment and only be taking my 40b with me as I'll be renting while I'm there....

The 40b, will be completely and totally over the top though. I'm think NPS...

Sounds fun. I have a lot of family in Vegas...nice place, if you're careful. ;) Hit me up when you're ready to sell some livestock...assuming you'll ship. I've had my eye on a few of your specimens.
