I was thinking the same thing; Holy flow batman! Seeing what one WP-40 (I assume the flow is similar to an MP-40, though I could be wrong!) can do in a 6' long 125, I can only imagine what an MP-60 will do in a 30" long tank :shocked2:

Yeah, the flow is excessive but they ramp down just fine and I already own them so it's the cheapest option anyhow.

I am worried about sand, I'm going to do the scape as a raw bare bottom to start and then add sand later if I really feel like I need it. Wish I had not been so quick when cutting the starboard.

Decided to go with some really nice already cycled man made live rock my LFS sells, probably going back for more. So, the cycle has officially begun. Added bottle of Dr. Tim's One and Only (the bacteria in a bottle stuff) and Dosed ammonia per the directions on the fish-less cycle on Dr. Tim's webpage.

I'm still going to wait approximately 1 month till the first fish. Probably could go sooner, especially with using pretty well cycled live rock and bacteria in a bottle. But I'm going to South Korea on business for a week middle of next month. Should be ready to add a couple fish after that.

I'll start adding corals after I have had time to play with the equipment and make sure I have gotten the first few mini catastrophe's out the way. Once I get the maintenance routines down and everything is steady I'll add. Could be a month, could be 4 months. I feel pretty comfortable it won't take long. I'm familiar with all the equipment as it's basically a mini version of my old 210. Better filtration and better lighting though.

There is a possible change in direction with the live rock / scape. I'm talking with Cerameco, the makers of Vida Rock about putting together a custom scape for the cube. This would allow extremely improved flow around the corals and a very unique look once it's filled in a little. I don't, however really like the look bare. This will slow the build down a little, but that's not important long term.

This is the scape I was working with, I wasn't really digging it and started looking for a crown piece when I stumbled upon Vida-Rock.

I got the canopy painted! Which means I can mount the light. So I'll hopefully get that done before I leave for a week on Saturday.

Here's the canopy looking nice and clean!

I didn't have a nail gun convenient, so this will get done soon.

Canopy looks amazing; excellent work! It's like the tank was built the same time as the room :)

I'm going to have to relearn to use my DSLR. I haven't used it since breaking down the 210g.
