I've used it 3 times and never gone over a week before it was able to process the ammonia. I used it to cycle this tank. Did you buy the ammonia when you did the fishless cycle?

And yeah, just the Anthias and the clowns. Maybe some fish that live in the rock work, we'll see how my pellet/skimmer combo reacts to all this load. Killer deal.

I have been through the ringer with the equipment on this tank. Finally seem to have it worked out.

My skimmer would overflow constantly. My apex was all messed up and my Vortech kept shutting off.

I finally sent the apex off and got it fixed, now everything is working right. (well so it seems) I have made some adds that I will photograph after I get all this algae under control. The tank looks a hot mess from the skimmer not running since adding all those fish!!

The Anthias haven't faired super well. I am down to 5 :( I knew better when I attempted it, damn me for being a sucker for a deal. Hopefully I have the major swings under control now.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Glad you have most of it straightened out. Why did you lose 4 Anthias? Aggression, stress, etc.?

Stress. They were already shipped directly from the wholesaler and they weren't in great condition to start with. Then with the nutrients spike from adding them all at once paired with the skimmer stopping; I think it was too much change.

glad to hear that you got things worked out! I'm kind of anxious to figure out all of my stuff once I get my new tank set up.

Things are definitely getting much better with my tank. Everything is working wonderfully now and I almost have full control of the algae again! So it'll be presentable in just a couple more weeks.

It's going to be after my wedding in February before I spend any real money on corals though. I have a couple adds in the tank that I'll photo after the rest of the algae is gone.
