Oil rigs are not inherently dangerous... Spear fishing huge groupers/reds while doing it on the other hand....

Yeah, I was saying the people who dive them are usually dangers to themselves. At least the ones I know. I do know of people getting caught on broken lines and they almost died.

I've dove caverns, ice cover glacial lakes, walls, shipwrecks, rivers. I need an oil rig. Lets get you an invasive yellow cup coral Scott!

My parents did some deep dives in the Cayman's that is the more serious dives they have done.

Actually We are pretty good family friends with one of the men who developed all of the water charts for how long and deep you can dive for. He was in the navy and they used him and a woman to do all the tests. His diving partner died in one of the tests, but he survived all of them so I guess he is super human. He is very interesting to listen to. He has so many stories some of the tests they did were insane. He lived in Antarctica for years, diving.

Got my first quote for the new tank. I quoted a
    36x18x22
    62 gallon
External coast to coast overflow drilled for bean animal plumbing
Front and both sides are Starfire glass
    3/4" glass - rimless
Back glass and seams are black

Still need to decide on return design. Any suggestions to keep it clean looking and still close to the water level with a full coast to coast overflow?

Why so thick on the glass?

If you have a talented glass guy, you could probably have them run it up through the overflow and out the back of the tank where the overflow is

Reef savy likes it overkill. And because it is rimless, they insisted... I am not sure it is necessary so I am still getting quotes. I may get a euro brace instead.

I'm excited for you Grim, and I am excited to see how this turns out. I think you are going to end up a with a wicked system with some mind blowing stuff. I love where you are starting out though---seems like a solid plan.
