Yikes... Well I'm back to just thinking I'll go with a 40b.. I don't think it's worth that kind of money and with glass that thick my mp10s are useless... It's actually making me want to go with a completely different tank.. but I already have the stand and sump and blah blah blah... $1400 is just too much for glass of this size.

Wow...$1400. That quote is more than my custom 190 I had quoted...out of 1/2" acrylic! Overkill is great as long as the wallet doesn't get beaten up!

Yeah, I laughed out loud when they told me the price.. It was probably kind of rude of me, but who cares.. that's just ridiculous.

To be fair, thats probably a fair price for 3/4 inch tempured/starfire custom tank. I just think its silly its 3/4 inch. That being said I am no engineer.

I know you've been researching like crazy as far as azoox goes, but I remembered seeing this TOTM a while back. Might give you some ideas and things to consider if you decide to go NPS route.

If you do temperate NPS the the 3/4" would be great for insulation.

I bet it would still sweat though. I think the only real option is 1" acrylic for a true temperate build.

The big killer for me is that my mp10s won't work.
