Well,i'm back! My 15 is now starting it's cycle with a bunch of baserock and a little liverock mixed in,the water is cleared up nice, running a 15 gallon hob filter, small ph,skimmer.Alot of the rock is going to come out for aquascaping after it cures(I got 10lbs lr and 35 br in a trade)but i didnt get to use as much of the lr as i wanted as most of it had little eye pleasing apperence,so i put in a few peices just to seed the tank and went with the better looking base rock, after it's all live,i'll pick the best of the bunch and save the rest(mabey for a pico project;)) I got a couple better pics today and thought i'd share, tell me what ya think

That's exactly what it's there for,if you notice, the tank is more centered in front of the seating area of the desktop,so when i park my butt with a cold one,i have a straight on veiw :cheesy:

Well my tank is now in a full blown cycle, diatoms all over the tank, little gha showing up quickly(but very little of it).But i have 2 questions. The first is i've been staring at this base rock for almost 2 week and i'm seeing specks of what i really think is coraline, there is red and green showing up.Can it spread that quickly????,the base rock was keep for a year in a running tank with no lights, and 2nd i also have a blue spot on one rock thats getting bigger in size,I believe its a sponge. Can the spores survive all that time that they had no light????

Yes to both questions. Spores from coralline, sponges and many other things can survive for an amazingly long time without growing. Coralline is very random. It can start right away in your tank or, like mine, could take up to a year to start growing.
