why is there not coraline on the before pic but on the after theres little pink dots all over the glass?

 

Right there is probably the 2 main reasons(i'm no expert by far)But your corals need the extra stuff thats in reef crystals(but it could just be marketing hype as well,but i bought it) at first started with just calcium suppliment like every other day,but then bought a test kit and found out i over shot and was in the mid 500's(it was way off the api chart)so after a major water change i bought the 2 part,and after only about 3 daily doses it was safe again in the high 400's,now i only dose when i water change and it stays at around 480 or so.That's also when i add iodine.I use a 10g to brew my saltwater in using a heater and powerhead and add my doseings to thin it down,since i don't have a sump,i don't like to dose straight into the tank(but i have )

 

My coralline is just starting to take off good,but the spots are spirorbib worms(id'd by reef sparkey)that exploded in my tank,fortunatly there only on the back wall(where i don't clean)but there is hundreds if not thousands,there on my liverock,even on the snail shells!!
