I do have a lfs store here in town(won't mention the name as they're a chain store)but i won't go there,$12.99 a lb and covered in gha, really poor tank maintenance, and the staff is poorly informed. The last fish i bought there,i had to tell them what it was so they new how much to charge me.I haven't been back. The place 30 miles away,is pretty cool, privatly owned and his hobby, but he's in it for the money. He will gladly sell you a $100 grouper knowing damn well your gonna put in a 10 gallon nano.So it deffinatly pays to do a little research and have some basic knowledge b4 you go in there. But it's hard to beat his prices and he loves what he does and his tanks show it,and that part goes along way with me.

The main lfs I go to seems to be much like that one. It seems to be a pretty common theme in privately owned fish stores. Basic knowledge about anything is needed when the saleman is willing to sell you the most important thing they can. Even if it doesnt fit in your tank.

    Update pics

Just thought i'd share a few pics of how the tank is looking now, just pulling out of a major algea bloom, been treating with algeafix marine and so far it's made a huge improvement(just wished it worked faster)but have seen no ill effects.I have had noticable coral growth and params seem to be staying stable. Also threw in a pic of my 29 i setup about a month ago, still not sure what i'm going with as far as livestock, but i do know that damsel is coming out, rather he likes it or not;).It the meanest fish i've ever owned and a coral nipper .

Just though i'd update my build thread, finally added alot of nice zoas a couple weeks ago and since getting my ro/di unit i've been doing very frequent water changes of about 15% every 3 days and i am pleased to say that my algea is disappearing slowly but surely and i am now reading 0 on phosphates and the rest of the tank is doing great as well. The last pic is of my silly clown who host my mag float and sleeps completly on his side.
