Well I purchased a probe off dr fosters and assumed it was the plug in kind for the ground. Well its not, its the kind that you have to find a ground for and screw it into. My thing is were does everyone put it for this type of ground, I want to get this in the tank today and insure my fish!

Hi - you can remove the screw that hold the cover over your electrical outlets and ground it there.

+1 If your outlet has a ground plug, then the center screw should be grounded as well.

sort of... all plugs are the grounded type these days (3 prong), but that doesn't at all mean the plug itself is grounded. If you're in a newish structure, probably is. An older structure, probably not (unless it's been redone). A 20ish year old structure... maybe.

Only some of the plugs and lights in my 25 year old house are grounded ::)
