Are there any groupers that could fit in a 40 gallon tank?

A Marine Beta, is part of the grouper family. but most of the normal groupers are way to big for a 40g in general. A marine beta might be fine in 40g.

Groupers get way too big for 40 gallons. Sorry, I know how pretty they are!

A chalk bass would be good.

There are a few lionfish that would be ok in a 40g, and a few smaller puffer fish.

40G is small for any large sized fish....need to keep with smaller fish in that tank.
