hmmm melafix says its reef safe which means I wouldn't have to catch the fish (stress it out more) put it into a QT tank (stress it out more), so I am leaning towards that.

What kind of shrimp should I be looking for? Lysmata amboinensis?

Do they do better in pairs or what? I've done some reading on the shrimps but if I'm getting them, I'd like to read up, any good links?

Also I read somewhere out there on the net that tank raised clowns are much less hardy. Anything to that?

Just in case anyone in the future reads this because they have a similar problem, the clownfish's sore/infection/whatever-it-was went away on its own.

Though I did end up getting 2 cleaner shrimp.

Glad to here it went away by itself. Cleaner shrimp are always a good addition to a tank.

Only problem i have noticed is my tank raised clown wont let the cleaner shrimp go near her. Maybe because she has never seen one and doesn't know what it is, but my coral beauty loves the shrimp.

Yeah that is actually the experience I am having too, the pair of cleaners has been in there for over a week but the clown won't go near them. They really want to clean the fish but each time they approach the fish runs off. I am hoping that the fish will figure it out eventually.
