Anyone have some tips to get rid of my algae problem. I have cut down on feeding, as I feel I have been overfeeding the little guys. I am also going to add some circulation to the tank to help speed up certain areas with low circulation. I have already taken out the rocks and gotten rid of what algae I could. By the way, this is hair algae.

I am going through a rather rough stretch with the tank right now, so any help is appreciated. :(

Ok well. There is a 50%...sure fire way to get hair algae. This is with Mexican Turbo Snails...I say 50% sure fire...because it really depends on the snail, some LOVE hair algae, some do not touch it. Back in the day, my tank was covered with hair algae, and within one week of placing the turbos in, it was all gone.

Be wary that if you might have to feed the snails once the hair is gone...if they eat it that is. Nori is a good food source for them.

Hmmm thats too bad. Um, you can try a phosphate buffer, that might help with the problem.

By phosphate buffer, do you mean something like Phosban.
