grrrr stupid pistol shrimp....

Me and a friend named Mary kinda started that a long time ago.

I've had Fluffy, Snuggles, Cuddles, Princess, yada, yada, yada


I've only had one mantis with a tough name. Killer was a G affinis (maximum size is about 1 inch long)

 

don't mean to hijack but I have 2 hitchikers in my tank both look the same. One blue, one orange. There is always clicking noise coming from them but I don't know if this is a mantis or pistol or even something else? I'd take a pic if they would ever come out, all they do is hide. Do both types of shrimp make that clicking noise?

 

yes, both pistol and mantis shrimps make that noise. It is funny, I joke that at night my pistol and mantis talk to each other through the house while redecorating. Of course my pistol shrimp is not as loud as my mantis but my mantis is quite big
