GSP keeps its color forever

    OK, the title is an extreme exaggeration.

    In late November I used bleach to clean my tank and I scraped it clean too. That included ridding myself of GSP forever. I threw it in the yard.

    I took this photo today as I happened to notice it laying there. I was surprised really.

    Put it in some brackish water; I'm sure it'll be fine. :)

    LOL looks more like a beach drift then your yard.

    I once left a tank for 6 months, no water changes, no top off, no lighting (there were no other corals or animals), restarted the tank and the gsp was still there.

    When people post that their gsp will not open I think you can not kill this stuff.

    You should take a piece, stick it in SW give it a few weeks and see if anything happens. We might be able to populate Mars with this stuff.

    I know, right. Actually tempted to put some of this scourge back in my tank! I don't think I will though. It was such a pain to get rid of... I could bottle some in bleach and mail to somebody to try it - I bet it would still be fine :p:p
