Can GSP kill palythoas? I have both of them on a small rock on my sand bed and the palys are all closed up and it looks like the GSP might be stinging them. How can i separate them? Is it easier to detach the GSP mat or the Paly mat? Will the palys come back to life?

The GSP will overrun the palys. It is probably easier to remove the GSP. The palys should come back fine.

From what I have read yes. And with out the toxin release you would get from the palys. I would try removing it carefully as opposed to ripping it off. You could then glue them to another rock or the back glass or something using cyanoacrylate glue.

If it was me, I would get the Palys off. I do it all the time when Im fragging it. Just use a razor blade. The GSP (IMO) is alot harder to get of a rock surface. In addition, you can easily kill it by tearing it off the frag plug.

I agree. I feel it would be far harder to get the GSP off from experience.

The GSP will come back and back and overtake the frag. What I would do is get as much paly as I can (accepting i probably won't be able to get the whole colony), I would cut off any paly that has GSP on it and then put the paly somewhere else and just let the GSP overtake what's left.

Although, to be honest, I'd save the paly and throw the GSP away, but that's just me.

And then never ever buy anything that has any GSP on it whatsoever as it will overrun just about anything.
