I have had this GSP for about 2 months its a decent sized frag, i had it in my tank for about 1 week before it started growing. the new growth parts are not opening but the parts that have been there for a while are open.

IT is still growing but the new growth is not opening,i have dealt with GSP for a while but this one i just dont get, whats up with this thing?

doesnt GSP sometimes close? I'm sure evntually it will grow and actually open up, but if it doesnt for a while id assume that it died, but then again i have no experience with it so im just saying what i think

from what i have noticed on my gsp is that it is moody, it opens and retract for reasons i can never tell. but it always comes stronger after stying closed for a while. it could be the new part is still expanding and new polyps are being born.

Okay, because i have had GSP and had it grow over a 10" total and the new polyps open within a week. With this one, all of the new polyps have not opened in over 5 weeks...It is just strange to me.

I've noticed two things with gsp that I've had in different tanks. It closes with a ph lower then 7.9 and it does not like phosphate removers that are alminum based like phos guard. Help that can help at all

GSP is super hardy. It could close up if something is nipping at it but its near impossible to kill.

its pretty much my ph tester...I rarely test for anything because everything has been going well. The last few week it was closed and i tested my ph and it was at 7.8. I started dosing ph buffer and now they started coming out again...now if i can just keep my ph higher that would be great haha
