i feel ya!!! my shrooms when i first got them, did split several times but the last year or two haven't done much since. they look good but not big or multyplying anymore.
i even have a hard time with zoas and palys. they open up for about 2 weeks then slowly decline and then they never open again and disappear....

seems i have the best luck with leathers, nothing to brag about because they don't grow either... they just look better than anything else i have. i do have a crocea clam that's doing pretty good. had it about 4 months now.

i guess easy ((beginner) corals is not for me... haha.... maybe i should try some gonipora... probably didn't spell that right but i think you know what i mean

Now that does sound frustrating. I almost threw in the towel after a go around with dino.

Corals do grow slow that is for sure. If you have not tried a duncan you might consider it same with acans. Feed them and they grow.

I couldn't get gsp to grow in my tank to save my life...i have some seemed to do good for like a month then died. On the other hand I have a multitude of sps that is doing quite well and growing(not like weeds). Growth isn't notable over a day or even week maybe month to month. I also have a hard time growing lps or any soft coral including mushrooms. I have a frog spam that is alive but not growing much. I don't really feed them that much though(the lps). My new plate coral I have been though.

i think a super reefer is anyone that can grow any kind of coral, any time, any where, any tank big or small. someone who has success over and over, not by luck or fluke but because they know exactly what they are doing....

if there is any super reefers out there....you are my hero
