I remember that someone had posted about them on here. I became curious because I'm setting a standard 10 gallon reef tank up for my dad's office. Would these be able to grow all types of corals? If so, how many would I need?

Unless you are only going to be using it for a FOWLR tank. You are better off with a par 38 bulb in a desk lamp.

You don't think they'd be strong enough to grow corals? I'm on a budget of under $50. Is there anything around that price?

I've decided that I'm just going to turn the tank into a Cherry Shrimp tank. I'll use the GU10's for my 52 gallon FOWLR. Will the GU10's be able to grow Java Moss, Java ferns, etc.?
