Anyone using the Gualala Robotics Light Rail 3.5?

"Increase light coverage and eliminate shaded areas created by stationary light. Self-propelled track-mounted light mover replicates the movement of the sun for healthy plants and photosynthetic corals and invertebrates. Simply mount the easy-to-install aluminum Light Rail Track over the desired area and position the adjustable Light Rail 3.5 Intelli Drive Motor onto the track to create your own moving light system. Robo-Stik Lamp attachment device mounts to the Intelli Drive motor to position, balance, and stabilize your light fixture. Rated to carry fixtures up to 35 lbs."

It moves pretty quick Matt. I worked for a company that used them on their commercial frag tanks, worked great there. You could put it on a time and have it start and stop a bunch for a full day cycle :D

Can you adjust the motor speed? Is it loud?

Nah, it's on/off IIRC. That's why you have to use a timer and have it on and off so many times to equal you total days movement 1 way. Of course you'd have to have the right amount of return time programmed as well ;)

They're pretty quiet, just a little hum.

Matt, I picked up a light mover recently. I have not set it up yet but the motor seems quiet. I plan on putting it on a timer like Gresham did. The one I bought has a Adjuster but does not seem to really adjust much it would definetely need a digital timer to do it right.
