Can you undress him/her? Lol It doesn't look like a decorator hermit. Here's a good link. Apparently they will reuse most of there old decorations when molting but they can be destructive. Keep us updated as to how it goes.

Lol, undress him? That's getting a little personal Vinny! Just kidding. Um to be honest, im a little afraid of his pinchers. He grabs the rocks when I try to pick him up.

It does kinda look like him. It also doesn't. I'm waiting for him to turn around so I can get a better pic.

Also, let's take a moment and enjoy his preciousness! He's so cute. I feel as though his shell is rather feng shui! Crabs got style!

 

If you have a sump, put it in there. No sense in take chances.

If you want to pick him up but fear the pinchers, put on a glove and pick him up from the rear, he's not big enough that he could get his pinchers to his backend, if it was a king crab thats a different case.lol

 

Oh no decorators can definitely reach there back end.lol They are fascinating creatures. I had one many moons ago in its own tank.

 

How come your not a fan of crabs?

 

Crabs are opportunistic and can eat almost anything.
