I am debating between these 2 species. I have previously owned both and love both. You all are familiar with the snowflake moray, but my lfs also sells Gymnothorax tile as 'freshwater snowflake morays'. G. tile is very easily and readily acclimated to marine water as they usually do better in salt. I am about to start acclimating a Green Spotted puffer to salt also so he wouldn't be more work to acclimate. Just wanted your input. VOTE!!!

For me you stated the answer in your question. We are all familiar with the snowflake, and you would be happy with both options, so why not go with the one that is less common and more interesting? I say go with the tile and post some pictures so we can get familiar.

if it is labeled as a freshwater eel it is not, there is no such thing as a freshwater moray it is just a close cousin of the moray. all morays will spawn into freshwater but they cant stay there long term. and they will absolutely never thrive long term in a freshwater tank. also what size is the tank? what other fish do you have as these guys get pretty big
