hagen aquaclear PH under water??

    hey guys, i have a hagen aquaclear powerhead for a 70 gal tank and it says on the side of the PH do not submerse past water line and theres a little line on the sticker(im guessing water line?)

    but my question is that i have seen a couple in videos/pictures fully submerged and running fine?

    so can they be submerged and still last a while??

    I had a few and never read that on them. Guess I would follow there recommendations.
