I want your guys input. I have the 2x24 hagen ballast over my ten gallon and it makes me happy and my corals. I also like how it looks sleek and I don't have to do the wiring like alot of other ballasts. Im upgrading to a 56 and am wondering should I just two more hagen ballasts (the ballasts run 2x24 or 2x39) or go down the tek2 route. How much better can the tek unit be? the tek2 is 109 with the ballast and reflectors. The hagen is like 50 plus I would get the tek reflectors because they are slim. I just hate that it looks like a bunch of wires and hagen looks so pretty........ I am also getting ati bulbs...So just to sum up, I would get the hagen so I don't have to wire, not because its 20 cheaper (after reflectors)

If it is working why change to another brand. Get another unit from Hagen.

Yey...thats what I wanted to hear 2in10, I just got kind of worried because I don't really see anyone use it. But even it it were semi underpowered, Im going with 6x39 on a 56 which is way more then enough, and I going top of the line bulb and reflector.

I don't think there is a problem with the ballasts just their bulbs. Not sure about their reflector, but the gullwing design is good for getting as much light down as possible.
