Yeah I switched to a LFS even closer to me... I didn't know about them. Bluephish reccomended them to me.. they're even cheaper! Bought my new T5 bulbs from them. I told them about my situation. they recomended the Turbo snails, and they worked like a charm! The other stores Sh-tty water was the last straw, and this new place's tanks are imaculate!

We had a LFS that did this. They actually thought they were doing people a favor by selling "aged water".

I'm not defending your LFS, I'm just saying it might not have been malicious.

I can see your point, aged water has some benefits like cycling a new tank, but still the RO was loaded with phosphates and silicates, and the used tank water was probably lacking in trace elements, and loaded with nutirents. I have no hard feelings against them, and have taken it upon myself to be responsible for my own water. Like the Mystery Science 3000 avatar!

So here's the pics. the first pic was taken almost a month ago when I started noticing algae growth. The second is a pic accliamting my coral to new lighting.. you can see the HA patch behind them. The next is two days later after I added two turbo snails. I wish I had a Front tank shot to show how much hair algae was in the tnak, but oh well.
