    whats the most effective hair algae eater or just any algae eater for a nano

    If the hair algae is short you could try a turbo snail or two depending on the size of your tanks. Other than that you may want to try and get the excess nutrients in your tank under control.

    I've had great success with a Sea Hare - they are only about 15 bucks and clean up hair algae fast!! However, they really are just a temp solution - once they clean it all up, they will starve so you will need to give it to a friend with hair algae or the LFS. They don't readily eat prepared foods... Also, check your phosphates to see if they are very high, that's what caused my outbreak. I've haven't seen any of it since the Hare and the phos are under control. Also, you can pull the rock and scrub it with an old toothbrush to knock it down a little. Took me about 3 weeks to get it totally under control. Hope this helps!!
