Sorry Guys. Well seeing as how Ive already talked about this on two other posts I have one final question..

I use my mag float on the front and sides of my tank. The only Place the Hair algae grows is on my black glass, I never used the mag float on the back glass cause I thought it would be to thick to clean. I decided to give it a try today in a little area, and it all came off in one swipe. Should I continue to clean it all off with the mag float? Only Problem is, its sending it everywhere throughout my tank. Wont the filter just suck it all up?:confused:

I would say take a razor or card (id, credit card, etc.) and try to scrape it off into one big piece and just remove it. I haven't seen your other posts, so I'm not sure if this has already been said or not. But, if you remove alot of the hair algae, it won't be able to spread as fast. Just make sure you get as much of it as you can out of the fish tank. You could probably follow up on my theory with siphoning your substrate and doing a water change to reduce spreading it around the tank.

you could try using mexican turbo snails. my back glass is awful(i never clean it). i'm FO so i dont have LR or any tank cleaners. i put 4 turbo's in, 2 directly on the back wall and it's already lookin pretty good.

dont go for the razor, i just recently took a better, closer look at my 55 and realized i scratched the crap out of it in some areas. it doesnt stand out at all, but i know that it is there and it bothers me. lol i want perfection in my tanks. so go with the card, the razors edge can really do damage on the glass.

Uhh when i first bought my tank off some guy, there was coraline algae COVERING it on every inch of every side, he like let it go... I sat there for like hours getting it off with a razor blade, and I myself got a few scratches on it, nothing real noticeable, But i know what you mean haha I hate it. So I painted the side with the scratches on it Black and made it my backside.

Oh, and one more thing, make sure you clean your mag float. You don't want it to be seeding the tank for hair algae in the future.
