all i can say is good luck. Try to get it out now, that's how mine started, a few patches here and there, then it took over, but is going away some thanks to the CUC

Well I had a patch of it in my 55. It grew on the substrate. I removed it from the tank along with a few inches around it and underneath it in one big swoop. That stopped it for my tank right there. I got lucky. If it is on a rock without corals or anything important on it, I would remove the rock and let it soak in a very, very high salinity for a few days. 1.050 or above. Kill off everything on the rock including the algae. Then let it dry off for a few days. Scrub it really well to get all the dead stuff off and add it back to the tank. Get your water parameters tested too, it might be a signal that your water parameters are off.

get Astrea snails, their slime will inhibit the growth of this algae.

for this to work you would need 2 astrea snails for every gallon.

    for a 100 gallon, 200 astrea snails.

you can get em cheap at reeftopia.

maybe try using a turkey baster to see if that will suck it up. I'm going to be trying that today with my GHA
