some people report that theirs have ended but in order to get 0 algae you're going to want to keep all you levels down and an RO/DI is a must....you have such a small tank it might be more cost efficient to find water at a local lfs or maybe find a local reef club and offer sombody a few bucks for 10 gallons here or there...some guys are actually real cool and maybe you'll have someone who will just give it to you

Reverse Osmosis/De-ionizer its a water filter which the first portion will bring contaminants down to ~1-2 ppm and then the dionizing portion brings it down to 0ppm which is ideal for healthy fish/good coral growth....i would recommend getting one but not a knock off ebay one...pm azdesertrat he knows alot about ROs and could help you understand better or help you finding one and yea you could get jugs of distilled water...most fish stores usually have an RO and charge like 50 cents a gallon or something like that....and ftw start your own reef club lol, no but seriously post up here and see if anyone from here is close by to you....everyone here seems pretty nice/generous so they would probably help you out just make a thread asking if anyone is from near you etc

yea i know what you mean...if you do wind up buying your own RO/DI unit it cant hurt to use that in your fresh tank as well...it would probably make a big improvement on algae and fish health in there as well but buying ro water for a 100 gallon is a lot...also by the way with that ro water youll see a big difference in fish/coral health and colors as well by the way

someones got to counter balance all the wanna be thugs and low lifes from around here lol no but seriously isnt as bad here as most think it is 1 because its been way hyped up and 2 most people who think like that were never presented with living in such a manor so it comes off more rough and tough etc than it actually is because people arent used to it

yea its like a big hole that you keep throwing money in....i would recommend getting good quality stuff the first time around rather than spending twice....also dont be afraid to buy things used or to do other DIY projects as it will really help you save and still get quality stuff
